Bargain Box Thrift Shop
We welcome everyone to our store!
The Bargain Box is a resale shop staffed entirely by volunteers who are members of Assistance League® of Flintridge. The store is open all year and provides a continuing source of income for the chapter's philanthropic programs. Proceeds from the sale of donated gently used clothing and household items stay in the community area.

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Friday and Saturday: 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Closed Wednesdays and some public school holidays.

How Can I Donate?
Lighten up! The Bargain Box is happy to resell items that you no longer use in your home. Someone else will be delighted to buy them and put them to use. Your donations and purchases are kind to the environment and support programs that enhance the lives of people in our community.
Bring your donations to the door off the driveway on the south side of the Bargain Box building during the hours the Bargain Box is open. Please knock on the door so that we can take in your donations and give you a receipt.
All donations are tax-deductible and greatly appreciated. Assistance League of Flintridge is nonprofit, nonpolitical and nonsectarian and approved by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization.
We can accept the following gently used, resalable:
- Clothing
- Household Items
- Linens
- Furniture
- Books
- Toys
- Jewelry
- Collectibles
We cannot accept:
- Baby furniture or equipment
- Mattresses
- Old hair dryers/curling irons
- Ski equipment
- Computers or Computer Software
- Bicycles & Exercise equipment
- Tv's, Video games or 8 Track cassette tapes
- Large furniture, Major appliances or Office equipment
- Toxic substances, Gasoline or propane containers
- Unframed glass
- Items that are too dirty or damaged to sell
The Bargain Box does not accept consignments.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not leave mattresses or items so badly broken or soiled that we cannot resell them. WE ARE NOT A TRASH DUMP! When you leave such items at our door, we have to pay to have the trash removed, so you are taking funds away from the services we provide to the community.
