    3D Printing

    Students will learn the basics of 3D modeling. They will design and produce accessories, toys and small products.

    Band Rhythm & Blues

    Keep up the beat with other musicians during the summer. Continue developing instrumental skills and explore music theory in a small group setting. Try musical improvisation. Students provide their own instruments.

    Want to learn how to code but don't know where to start? We've got you covered! This course is an introduction to computer programming. It will help with your problem-solving skills as you become familiar with Java Script and other programming languages.

  • Culinary Arts

    Culinary Arts

    Budding chefs receive instruction in nutrition, techniques of menu planning, choosing recipes, preparing meals and clean up. STUDENTS WITH FOOD ALLERGIES CANNOT ENROLL IN THIS CLASS.

    Digital Art

    Learn to how to make movie posters, magazine covers and photo collages. Retouch and blend photos for any social media needs. Make a logo and work on physical branded advertising.

  • Engineering & Construction

    Engineering & Construction

    Work in competitive groups to design, plan and build scale model bridges and skyscrapers. Deal with motion and forces, risk and benefits, spatial configurations and measuring. Work as a team to apply abstract concepts such as stress and the law of gravity.

    Glee

    In this class, students will have the opportunity to become a "triple threat" as they receive training in voice, acting and dance. Using popular songs and jazz-inspired choreography, students will sing melodies and harmonies as they perform routines to the music. The session will conclude with an exciting live performance.     Math Enrichment, Grade 7

    Keep your math skills in shape this summer and get ready for 7th grade! This class provides a variety of fun enrichment activities to explore math concepts using word problems, geometry, polynomial equations and integers.

    Math Enrichment, Grade 8

    This class is designed to strengthen math skills necessary for success in Algebra 1; includes algebraic word problems, factoring polynomials, solving multiple-step equations and game strategy.

  • Robotics

    Robotics

    This course gives students the opportunity to design, build and program mobile robots using Lego kits, onboard computers and a variety of sensors (light distance and ultrasonic). Students learn how to place and program the sensors on their robots and compete against one another to test their effectiveness. The final week culminates in a SUMOBOT competition where robots attempt to push an opponent out of a ring using the sensors and programming skills they have learned.

    Science, Medicine & Biotechnology

    Students will participate in science investigations to build appreciation and understanding for health care, medicine, bioinformatics and biotechnology. This class utilizes curriculum developed by Amgen.

  • Sculpture & Ceramic Art

    Sculpture & Ceramic Art

    In this class students explore a variety of art processes and techniques. Using different types of sculpting tools, pottery wheel, and media (including paper maché, wood, clay, plastic and wire), students will use their creativity to assemble, carve, form, bend and mold materials into 3D works of art.

  • Sign Language

    Sign Language

    Let your fingers do the talking! American Sign Language (ASL) is the primary sign language of deaf communities and is the 3rd most used language in the US, next to English and Spanish. This class will teach students the ASL method of non-verbal communication.

  • Sports Zone

    Sports Zone

    Participate in a variety of activities including indoor soccer, kickball, volleyball and Whiffle Ball. Join in a mini-Olympics involving games of skill and adding new twists to classic sports and games.

    A great way to start the day and enhance tennis skills through coaching and play.

  • Writers Workshop

    Writers Workshop

    Using everything from video games, movies, and books to real-world problems, develop creative and persuasive techniques to better understand and enjoy the writing process.
